The Sean Serra Memorial Race at Darana Motorsports Park-Benson in Benson, NC wrapped up on Sunday with another $20K-to-win Main Event. This Final Round came down to a classic Door Car versus Dragster battle as Tommy Plott’s Mustang lined up with Timothy Thomas’ Dragster. This one would be decided at the tree as Plott turned it 004 Red, handing the win and $20K over to Thomas and the Dragster. $50K was on the line during Saturday’s Main Event at the Sean Serra Memorial Race taking place at Darana Motorsports Park-Benson in Benson, NC. The $50K Final Round saw a pair of North Carolina-based Dragsters face off as Michael Paschal and Paul Warwick staged up to determine the Winner. After a pair of .019 RT’s, it was Paschal turning on the Win Light with a 4.485 on a 4.47 Dial taking .010 Margin of Victory at the stripe. Sunday wraps up the week at this year’s Sean Serra Memorial Race with $20K-to-win on the line for the day’s Champion. The Sean Serra Memorial Race kicked off on Friday with a $20K Main Event at Darana Motorsports Park-Benson in Benson, North Carolina. An excellent mix of local favorites and big money bracket racing’s traveling stars made the trip to NC to participate in this race in Memory of fallen friend Sean Serra. Friday’s Final round came down to a Dragster-Door Car battle with Blake Combs in his Tennessee-based Dragster vs. Stevie Dustin’s Team W S-10. This race would be over at the tree as Dustin turned it one-thousandth of a second Red (-.001) sending Combs and the Dragster to the Winners Circle. The stakes now ratchet up with Saturday’s Main Event paying $50K-to-Win.
