Sunday Recap
Sunday featured the Final $25K-to-win Main Event during the Firecracker Bracket Nationals at Byron Dragway in Byron, Illinois. Eliminations were cruising right along with Brandon Schmall earning the No Box Win in his Fox Body Mustang with a great 010 RT and Dead 0 (6.240 on 6.24 Dial) run to defeat Shane Boney. Round 5 was completed, and then Mother Nature decided to make an appearance to cut the Weekend Short. The decision was made to Split the purse among the Final 9 Racers in competition. Those racers were Brandon Schmall, Scott Taylor, Ed Curtis, Brent Vincent, Andrew DiPiazza, Jeff Cheney, Shane Pope, Vince Mangiaracina and Zach Manaseri.

Saturday Recap
Saturday was the Big Day during the Firecracker Bracket Nationals at Byron Dragway in Byron, Illinois as $75K was on the line to the Main Event Winner. A hard fought day of racing came down to a pair of Vega’s as Jeremy McKague faced off with Phil Bryant. On this day, McKague had the Best Vega with an 011 RT and Dead 4 Lap (5.894 on 5.89) to earn the $75K Payday. Troy Stone was the lone semi-finalist in his Vintage Trailers Dragster. Nick Engler won the No Box portion of the Main Event defeating Shane Boney in a great final round with a .009 Margin of Victory. Friday Recap
The First Main Event of the Weekend was on the Schedule for Friday during the Firecracker Bracket Nationals at Byron Dragway in Byron, Illinois. After fighting rain early in the day, racing action cruised thru at a fast pace leading to an all-Dragster Final Round. The Final round would see Hayden Bailey get the Automatic Win Light when his opponent Greg Antonioni turned it 021 Red. Bailey would have been hard to beat with an 010 RT and Dead 6 Lap (4.556 on 4.55 Dial). Andrew DiPiazza was the lone semi-finalist on the day. The Firecracker Bracket Nationals at Byron Dragway in Byron, Illinois kicked off on Thursday with a $10K-to-Win Warmup race. Tim Vincent put his Dragster in the Winners Circle defeating Jason Ackerman in the Final Round with an 18 Total lap (009 + Dead-9) taking 007 stripe. Jeremy McKague was the lone-semi-finalist on the day.
