Sunday Recap

Eliminations day was one to remember as the Summit Racing Equipment NHRA Nationals wrapped up at Summit Motorsports Park in Norwalk, Ohio. A few minutes later his daughter Maddi scored her First NHRA Top Fuel victory in her Rookie Season to cap off an incredible moment for the Gordon Family. Another huge story took place in the Lucas Oil Series categories as Phil Unruh became the 31st Driver to Double Up in National Event Competition by winning both Super Comp and Super Gas. The Pro Mod class was incredible as usual, and the Final Round came down to Reaction Time as Kevin Rivenbark scored the win for Team Shelton in a 5.71 to 5.71 (042 to 081 RT’s) decision over Billy Banaka. Other Winners from the NHRA Summit Naitonals include Matt Cummings (Top Alcohol Dragster), Taylor Dietsch (Factory Stock Showdown), Sadie Glenn (Top Dragster), Alex Miller (Top Sportsman), Pete D’Agnolo (Comp), Brenda Grubbs (Super Stock), Matt Antrobius (Stock) and Victor Marqua (Super Street).
