Saturday Recap
The PDRA Crew battled weather all weekend, and won this time around with an incredible day of Eliminations action on Saturday during the North vs. South Shootout at Maryland International Raceway in Mechanicsville, Maryland. Pro Nitrous was filled with Drama all day long with Upsets and Holeshot Wins through Eliminations. But in the Final Round, it would be Fredy Scriba in his brand new Sorcerer ’69 Camaro turning on the Win Light with a 3.653/207MPH pass over Buddy Perkinson’s 011 Redlight and 3.656/206. “Carolina Kid” Travis Harvey continued his winning ways by taking the Pro Boost victory at the North vs. South Shootout. Harvey made his quickest pass of the weekend in the Final with a 3.593 at 209MPH to defeat Derek Ward. Joel Wensley Jr. broke through with a big win in Pro Street. Wensley started from the #7 Qualifying Position, but was Top 2 in ET every round of Eliminations en route to the Final Round. Joel would set Low ET of the Weekend for the class in the Final 3.944 defeating Scott Kincaid’s 3.996. Jeff Pittman dominated the Pro 632 category, matching his Top Qualifying 4.147 in the Final to outrun Carson Hoyle. Connor McGee does it again in another classic McGee/Vincent Final Round. McGee is behind in RT, but runs Low ET of the Weekend 4.525 to defeat Austin’s 4.655. Legendary Sportsman racer Steve Furr adds another Trophy to his collection taking the Elite Top Dragster title throwing down 12 Total (005 + 3.797 on 3.79 Dial) to defeat Linzie Coleman. The Pro Junior Dragster Final was excellent with Emma Crane taking the Victory over Katelyn Page in a Double Breakout decision by .001, 7.892 to 7.891 on the 7.90 Class Index. Other winners on the day include Mike Keeler (Elite Top Sportsman), Stacy Johnson (Top Sportsman), Chad Traylor (Top Dragster), Jason Kirby (Bracket Bash) and Wyatt Piercy (Top Junior Dragster). The PDRA Series will be back in action in August at Bristol Dragway.

Friday Recap
The PDRA North South Shootout continued on Friday with an accelerated schedule to attempt to beat Mother Nature’s forecasted late afternoon entrance to the area. They did a great job of shooting cars down the track, and came up just short of completing Q3 with Rain showing up just in time to cut short the Final Session for Pro Boost and Pro Nitrous. Top Qualifiers for this event include Tim Paap (Pro Nitrous), Ty Tutterow (Pro Boost), Jerry Morgano (Pro Street), Jeff Pittman (Pro 632), Connor McGee (Super Street), Bryan LaFlam (Elite Top Sportsman) and Gray Kimble (Elite Top Dragster). Thursday Recap
The PDRA Series is back on track this weekend at Maryland International Raceway in Mechanicsville, Maryland for the North vs. South Shootout. With a high chance of rain late Friday, the decision was made to move Q1 for the Pro categories to Thursday night. KTR Racing’s Tim Paap put his Corvette atop the Qualifying Sheet in Pro Nitrous with a 3.653 ET. Meanwhile, Defending Event Champ Ty Tutterow hit a home run in Pro Boost Q1 with a 3.593, gapping the field by nearly .03. Jerry Morgano’s big Turbo power continues to show the way in Pro Street with a great 3.958 ET. Other Top Qualifiers from Thursday include Jeff Pittman (Pro 632), Connor McGee (Super Street), Bryan LaFlam (Elite Top Sportsman) and Gray Kimble (Elite Top Dragster).
