LODRS Saturday Race 2 Final Qualifying Results
Action continued on Saturday at Minnesota’s Brainerd International Raceway as NHRA Lucas Oil Drag Racing Series Division 5 had Qualifying and Early Round Eliminations for Race 2 of the Double Header event. Rusty Baxter earned the #1 Spot in Top Dragster with a 6.198 ET. Right Trailers’ Chris Roe made it a Weekend Sweep of the Top Qualifying position in Top Sportsman with a 6.481. Calie Neff shoed her potent A/Econo Dragster to the #1 spot in Competition Eliminator at 6.624, 59 Under. Other Top Qualifiers include Corey Hopkins (Super Stock), Lance Line (Stock) and Gordon Fangmeyer (Sportsman Motorcycle). Final Eliminations for Race 2 are on tap for Sunday at Brainerd. LODRS Friday Race 1 Final Eliminations Results
NHRA’s Double Header at Brainerd International Raceway in Minnesota continued on Friday with Eliminations for Race 1 of the Weekend. Top Dragster came down to what could be a pivotal Final Round in this year’s National Points Chase between Holden Laris and JR Baxter. Laris would turn it 006 Red, handing the Win, Wally and Points over to Baxter. Holden jumps past Nick Brener into the National Points Lead with his RU, while Baxter moves into 4th Place within striking distance. Another big story was a near Father-Son Wally Double as Russ Speer (Dad) took the Stock Eliminator title over Lance Line, setting up the potential Speer sweep. But Brett (Son) would come up 001 short in a Double Breakout decision in the Super Stock Final to Scott Dugdale. Other Winners on the Day include JJ Heber (Top Sportsman), Doug Engels (Comp), Jordan Pratt (Super Comp), Bill Cawsey (Super Gas), Kris Thies (Super Street) and Donnie Durenberger (Sportsman Motorcycle). LODRS Thursday Race 1 Final Qualifying, Class Eliminations & Shootout Results
NHRA Division 5 kicked off the Brainerd International Raceway Mega Week with LODRS Points Race 1 Qualifying on Thursday. Emilee Novak threw down an Excellent 6.107 on the 6.10 Top Dragster Class Cap to earn the #1 Spot in Top Dragster with her Supercharged Dragster. Right Trailers’ Chris Roe lead the way in Top Sportsman with a strong 6.378/219MPH Blast. Pat Nahan put his E/Dragster Automatic ride atop the Competition Eliminator Sheet with a 63 under lap. Other Top Qualifiers on the Day included Sean Marconette (Super Stock), Lance Line (Stock) and Toby Giese (Sportsman Motorcycle). The Division 5 Super Shootouts also took place on Thursday with Brandon Kleewein (Super Comp), Mark McMasters (Super Gas) and Scott Berghammer (Super Street) all earning Top Honors.
