The Autoland Outlets Door Car Challenge took place over the weekend at Byron Dragway in Byron, IL with big money on the line for Bracket Racers with Door Cars Only. The big story of the weekend was “Nasty Nick” Hastings putting on a show in his White Beretta. Nick won the No Box portion of the race both Friday & Sunday before going on to win the $15K Main Events both days. On Friday, he nearly had a clean sweep as he held two of the final three entries before going on to defeat Brett Williamson in the final round. Brett had a great weekend as well, finishing Runner-Up in the Friday $15K before scoring a No Box RU on Sunday. But in terms of Dollars and Cents, the weekend’s big winner was North Dakota racer Randy McFarland turned on the Saturday $50K Main Event final win light in his Second Gen Camaro over Illinois racer Randy Weller.
