Saturday World Fuel Altered Nationals & Funny Car Chaos Eliminations Results
The World Fuel Altered Nationals Eliminations Day put on quite a show for the Eddyville, Iowa crowd. The Main Event for the Fuel Altereds was the ‘A’ Field, where the Final Round came down to John Umlauf in the Mass Chaos Nitro ride against Cody Chatfield’s Boose Brothers Altered. Umlauf pedaled his way to a 4.09 to 4.16 Victory. In the Fuel Altered ‘B’ Field, earned the Win with a 4.33/159MPH hit to defeat Aaron Johnson. The Funny Car Chaos ‘A Field’ came down to a pair of Top Alcohol Funny Car contenders with Robbie Massey vs. Lance Van Hauen. Massey got the RT advantage and made it to the stripe first 3.78 to 3.83. Kurt Duckworth drove his “Complete Chaos” to the ‘B’ Field victory over Jeff Krug, who red lighted his chance away.

Friday World Fuel Altered Nationals & Funny Car Chaos Qualifying Results
The Fuel Altered tradition continues at Iowa’s Eddyville Raceway Park with the World Fuel Altered Nationals coming to town. This year in addition to the normal WFAN Fuel Altered Show, Funny Car Chaos brought in a special non-points field to thrill the Iowa crowd. Two Qualifying sessions for both classes took place on Friday. Ryan Hill’s Nitro Bandito picked right up where he left off with a 3.71 ET in Q1 to top the Qualifying List. John Umlauf is right behind him at 3.94, the only other Fuel Altered in the 3-second zone. The ‘A’ Field bump settled at 4.65. In Funny Car Chaos Qualifying, Former Series Champ Kirk Williams topped the a tough group of Floppers with a 3.75 ET. Lance Van Hauen earned the second spot with a 3.84, followed closely by Robbie Massey’s 3.85. Mike Buchanan rounded out the ‘A’ Field with a 4.39 ET.
