Friday-Saturday $60K Main Event Results
The Moser Engineering Mini Million Presented by Folk Promotions continued on Saturday at Lucas Oil Indianapolis Raceway Park. Inclement weather necessitated a format change, forcing the Main Events into two $60K to win races instead of the three $40K’s. The first $60K got a late start on Friday, and the Folk team was able to get through Round 2 Eliminations completed. More overnight weather pushed Saturday’s start time back, but a $60K winner was finally crowned. The Final Round came down to a pair that are no strangers to the Winners Circle as Texas Racer Cory Gulitti in his Dragster staged up against Florida’s Jon Siegel in the famous “Wheelie Wagon”. Gulitti would earn the $60K Payday when Siegel launched 004 Red. No Box Winner Austin Tewell was the Main Event’s sole semi-finalist. Tewell defeated Brandon Schmall in the No Box Final Round; Schmall scored his second NB Runner-Up of the Week. Final Eliminations for the second $60K are on the schedule for Sunday in Indianapolis. Friday Update
Mother Nature made an appearance at Lucas Oil Indianapolis Raceway Park Friday morning causing a late start to the Day’s Racing action. This combined with a few other Rain chances throughout the weekend forced Folk Promotions to make the Proactive decision to switch the Triple $40K Main Events to Two $60K Main Events to be run over the course of the remainder of the Weekend. On track action commenced Friday afternoon & Two Rounds of Eliminations were completed. Look for the first $60K Main Event to wrap up Saturday afternoon. Thursday $20K Warmup Race Results
Folk Promotions heads to Lucas Oil Indianapolis Raceway Park for the first time hosting the Moser Engineering Mini Million. Action started on Thursday with a $20K-to-Win Warmup Race. A great turnout of Racers battled down to an all-Door Car Final between the 3rd Gen Camaro of Dane Bruce and the Chevy II of Bob Henry. It was an excellent race with both Racers letting go 016, but the difference was Bruce running Dead 5 (5.855 on 5.85 Dial) taking 009 Stripe to earn the $20K Top Prize. Stanley Teague and Cody McDaniel were the day’s Semi-Finalists. Cody Alumbaugh had an incredible Day taking the No Box victory defeating the always tough Brandon Schmall in the Final. Cody had Both of his Entries still in competition at the Round of 15 Cars left before losing his Final Entry in the Quarter-Finals. Friday will be the first of three $40K Main Events.
