Northern Nationals Mid-West Drag Racing Series Race Results
Mid-West Drag Racing Series rolled into US 131 Motorsports Park in Martin, Michigan to be a featured role in the track’s annual Northern Nationals event. Unfortunately, rainy Michigan weather caused the track to cancel the Northern Nationals Exhibition Show and Nitro Chaos competition on Saturday. But MWDRS made the trek to Michigan to race, and the decision was made to run the entire event on Friday. 26 Pro Mods attempted to Qualify for the 16 Car Field. Peter Norton led the Q Sheet with a 3.592 ET; the extremely competitive field grouped within 4 Numbers as Greg Blevins ended up #16 at 3.639. A thrilling evening of Eliminations was cut short by Rain just before the Final Round between Eric Dillard of Team El General / PLR & Paul Gargus from Scott Tidwell Racing. The Pro Mod Slammers (2nd Chance) category was also abbreviated by incoming rain showers at the Final Round between Kallee Tally and Greg Blevins. Top Dragster raced to a Split with Bobby Churchill and Tim Kish the remaining competitors. The Top Sportsman category was completed with Brian Stultz taking the W over MWDRS Champ Rod Moore, who turned it 015 Red.
