Fuel Altered Chaos made a return trip to Tucson Dragway in Tucson, AZ for their first appearance of the 2026 season. A strong contingent of 22 Fuel Altereds made an attempt in Qualifying on Friday. Kevin Knowles Nitro Altered ended up atop the Qualifying Sheet with a 3.893 ET. Race Day on Saturday saw some great wheel-to-wheel battles. When the dust settled in the ‘A’ Field, it was Brandon Seraphine who emerged victorious. Brandon defeated hometown favorite Jimmy Kelso on a holeshot 3.885 to 3.861 (059 to 097 RT’s). Margin of Victory was just fourteen-thousandths of a second at the stripe (.014). The ‘B’ Field saw Rich Nasby get the job done as he defeated the Turbocharged Altered of Sheldon Lofgreen in the Final Round. Fuel Altered Chaos will be back in Tucson in November, while the Chaos brand heads off to Ohio for the Chaos Super Nationals event next weekend featuring both the Funny Car Chaos and Nitro Chaos series.
