Unfortunate news as the NHRA Division 5 Opener at Tri-State Raceway in Earlville, IA has been postponed due to weather. Conditions were not favorable to get the track back to a safe condition after Sunday morning storms rolled through. This event will be completed on Thursday, July 9 of the NHRA Division 5 Doubleheader at SRCA Dragstrip in Great Bend, Kansas.
Saturday Recap
NHRA Division 5 continued their Season Opener on Saturday at Tri-State Raceway in Earlville, IA with Final Qualifying and early round Elimination action. There were only a couple of Top Qualifiers that changed hands during the Saturday sessions, and those were Pat Nahan in Competition Eliminator and Donna Patterson in Top Dragster. They were joined by Alan Hiebert (Top Sportsman), Sean Marconette (Super Stock), Bradley Koivisto (Stock) and Jarron Christianson (Sportsman Motorcycle) as #1 Qualifiers for this event. Eliminations Round 1 were contested in most categories, and E2 for Stock Eliminator ONLY. Eliminations will be run to completion on Sunday.
