The IHRA Outlaw Nitro Series kept up its strong momentum with incredible on-track action during Eliminations on Saturday at Virginia Motorsports Park in Dinwiddie, VA. Scott Palmer scored a popular win as he put his PBR Dragster in the Top Fuel Winners Circle defeating Gary Pritchett in the Final Round. Johnny Pluchino topped an incredibly competitive Mountain Motor Pro Stock field recording Low ET of the Weekend 4.014 to defeat Jordan Ensslin. Other Pro Winners from this event include Dale Creasy Jr. (Funny Car), Tony Wilson (Pro Mod), Bubba Stanton (Outlaw Pro Mod), Paul Miller (Fuel Altered), Jackie Fricke (Top Alcohol Dragster), Phil Esz (Top Alcohol Funny Car), Cory Reed (Small Tire Bratz), Tony Scott (Pro Stock), Jason Leeper (Nitro Harley) and Anthony Mini (Snowmobile). The big story in the Pro-Am categories was repeat winners from the Season Opener in North Carolina. Dan Fletcher (Stock) and Mitchell Harkey (Quick Rod) both added a second 2026 Ironman to their collection. Other big winners in the Pro-Am classes were Dan Davies (Top Dragster), Mike Alexander Jr. (Top Sportsman), Tracy Robbins (Super Stock), Rich Price (Super Rod) and Larry Paden (Hot Rod).

Another excellent day of racing was on tap for Friday at Virginia Motorsports Park in Dinwiddie, VA for the IHRA Outlaw Nitro Series. Qualifying was sensational in the Pro Categories with the top qualifiers: Gary Pritchett (Top Fuel), Del Worsham (Funny Car), Randy Weatherford (Pro Mod), Matt Giangrande (Mountain Motor Pro Stock), Mike Decker Jr. (Outlaw Pro Mod), Ryan Hill (Fuel Altered), Jamie Noonan (Top Alcohol Dragster), Chip Beverett (Top Alcohol Funny Car), Ryan Peery (Nitro Harley), Tony Scott (Pro Stock) and Anthony Mini (Snowmobile). Sportsman classes are down to E3 heading into Saturday morning. All categories will run Eliminations to completion on Saturday night. Thursday’s action kicked off with Pro-Am categories completing their Qualifying sessions. Round 1 Eliminations also took place in certain classes later on in the day.
