Saturday Chaos Championship Finals Eliminations Results
The Chaos Championship Finals lived up to its name on Saturday at Cordova Dragway in Illinois. Eliminations started with a nasty two-car crash in Round 1 of Nitro Chaos between Dave Hill and Colin Thomas. Thankfully, both racers are reportedly okay. The Funny Car Chaos ‘A Field’ came down to a Final Round between Wayne Hofmann and Lance Van Hauen. Hofmann would score the victory 4.09 to 4.22. The FCC ‘B Field’ was anti-climatic as Cody Chatfield was unable to back up from the burnout, so Justin Malott scored the solo Win. The Nitro Chaos ‘B Field’ was certainly Chaotic as Dave Gallegos in the Nitro Clown Fuel Altered suffered a wild top end crash. Dave was reportedly alert and talking after the crash. Kevin Lennon narrowly missed Gallegos, and is the Nitro Chaos ‘B Field’ Winner. Unfortunately, the cleanup from this incident made the Nitro Chaos ‘A Field’ Final Round between Garry Wheeler Jr. and Paul Miller unable to be run, so those two Finalists will split the Winnings. And that’s a wrap for the 2026 Chaos season with Keith Zimmerer (FCC) and Garry Wheeler Jr. (Nitro Chaos) as the Series Champs.

Friday Chaos Championship Finals Qualifying Results
Friday was Qualifying Day for the stacked fields of Funny Car Chaos and Nitro Chaos at Chaos Championship Finals. Cordova Dragway in Illinois is the location for this year’s Finale for both Chaos series’. The Funny Car Chaos field was led in Qualifying by Kirk Williams and the Williams Brothers Team as they threw down a 3.687/205MPH blast. On the Nitro Chaos side of action, last year’s Series Champion John Umlauf in the Nitro Chaos Fuel Altered dropped the mic on the field with an incredible 3.471/215MPH lap. John is certainly the favorite to take home the ‘A Field’ win with performance like that. Eliminations are on tap for Saturday in Cordova, Illinois.
