Race 2 from the NHRA Division 4 Lucas Oil Series Double Header at the Texas Motorplex in Ennis, TX is in the books with two double winners on the weekend. Defending Competition Eliminator World Champ Jeff Taylor made it a weekend sweep when Christopher Dodd turned it .012 Red in the Final Round. Meanwhile, David Baugh rode through the Sportsman Motorcycle class both days, finishing up with a final round win over Tracy Heimhold. Other winners from Race 2 of the Texas Motorplex Double include JR Baxter (Top Dragster), Chanse Bullock (Top Sportsman), Shane Blackmon (Super Stock), Rylie Trumble (Stock), Landon Martinez (Super Comp), Phil Unruh (Super Gas) and Greg Parson (Super Street).

The NHRA Division 4 Lucas Oil Series season continues on this weekend to the Texas Motorplex in Ennis, TX for a Double Header event. This means there will be two complete events completed, creating a huge opportunity to gain in the points chase. Thursday featured Qualifying/Time Trials for Race 1. Top Qualifiers included Kevin Thorp (Top Dragster), Darian Boesch (Top Sportsman), Mason McGaha (Comp), Robert Cruzen (Super Stock), Jimmy Hidalgo Sr. (Stock) and Dave Gautreaux (Sportsman Motorcycle). The day also featured Pro 1 Super Shootouts for all of the .90 Categories. Shootout winners were Toby Payne (Super Comp), Phil Unruh (Super Gas) and Mark McCall (Super Street). Friday will see the first Wally’s passed out as Eliminations for Race 1 will take place.
