The 2026 version of the Spring Fling put on by The Flings Race Series at Darana Motorsports Park in Benson, NC is in the books after an incredible week of big money bracket racing action. Saturday’s $40K was shaping up to be a barn burner, however Mother Nature had other plans and started raining late in the event. Purse money was split amongst the Final 9 competitors. One big prize was announced as Cory Gulitti was given The Fling MVP award after turning on the most win lights over the course of the week. The Flings will be back in action in early September at Summit Motorsports Park in Norwalk, OH.

Spring Fling week at Darana Motorsports Park in Benson, NC continued on Friday with the second of three $40K-to-win Main Events. Jeremy Hancock picked up the Big Check in his Georgia-based ’67 Camaro running dead-on with a 8 (5.518 on 5.51) to defeat Holden Dial’s North Carolina-based Dragster. JP Britt in his ’67 Camaro made it deep in Eliminations two days in a row, backing up his Quarter-final finish from last night with the Semi-final finish in today’s race. Barry Teachey piloted his ’64 Falcon to the Second Shot Shootout victory over Paul Skindzier. Thursday featured the first of three $40K-to-win Main Events during the Spring Fling Presented by The Flings Race Series at Darana Motorsports Park in Benson, NC. Jeff Serra scored the $40K victory in the “Blue Chew” Dragster for Team W defeating Niki Thomas and her trademark S-10. Jon Corbin earned the Second Shot Shootout victory in his ’68 Firebird over the Dragster of Jerry Hollingsworth. 344 Entries hit the track for $15K-to-win Wednesday at this year’s Spring Fling Presented by The Flings Race Series at Darana Motorsports Park in Benson, NC. The Final round came down to a pair of North Carolina-based Door Cars as Chris Smith’s First Gen Camaro squared off with Wesley Roberts and his Nova. Smith had the starting line advantage 010 to 026, but had problems around half track & Roberts cruised on by for the $15K victory. The 2026 Spring Fling presented by The Flings Race Series kicked off on Tuesday at Darana Motorsports Park in Benson, NC. Test and Tune for the week’s racers took place throughout the day, but the main focus was on the special 32 car $20K-to-win Shootout. 16 Door Cars and 16 Dragsters fought it out with Bailey Ferraro piloting his Dragster to the win over Kevin Pruett’s Door car with a 21 Total lap (.010 & .011 Above the Dial-In).
