Thursday Flying H Smackdown (Race 1) Eliminations Results
Race 1 of what will be a Triple Header at Tulsa Raceway Park for the Mid-West Drag Racing Series finished up on Thursday. Qualifying for this Event took place at Flying H Dragstrip in Missouri last month, but inclement weather pushed Eliminations to the MWDRS next stop on Tour. In Pro Mod, Peter Norton dominated the Day for the Hurricane Motorsports Team. Norton soloed to the Final Round win with a 3.579/208MPH rip when Jeff Rudolf was unable to make the call. Rian Hayward won the Pro Mod Slammers (2nd Chance Race) with a 3.601 ET defeating John Gentry in the Final Round. Dave Pierce set it Dead 4 (4.204) to earn the Pro 4.20 Index title over Derrol Hubbard. Tyler Wells continued to be Red Hot by backing up his big week in Texas with the first Top Sportsman Win of the Week at Tulsa. The Top Dragster hardware went to #1 Qualifier Robert Regan when Kati Laughter turned it 005 Red.
