Sunday NHRA Nationals at The Rock Results

NHRA’s National Event return to Rockingham Dragway put on an amazing show with a Full Day of Eliminations on Sunday during the NHRA Nationals at The Rock. The Pro Mod Final Round came down to a battle between the Top 2 in Championship Points. Mike Stavrinos got the better of incoming leader Bond in the Final Round on a hole shot 5.664 to 5.656 (039 to 049 RT’) for a 002 MOV. The big story of the LODRS classes was Brad Plourd going for a Double Up reaching the Finals in both Top Dragster & Stock Eliminator. Brad earned the Top Dragster Wally when TD legend Steve Furr turned it 0002 Red. But the Double bid would fall just short as Cody Phillips left 000 Perfect in the Stock Eliminator Final Round and set it 4 Above (10.351 on 10.31 Dial) to stop Plourd. Another headline from today was Joe Carnasciale earning his second Competition Eliminator National Event Wally of the Season. This is in addition to his 5 Division Event victories in 2026. Joe looks to be a lock for this year’s Comp National Championship. Other Winners from today include Bryan Worner (Super Stock), Hayden James (Super Comp) and Tim Powell (Super Gas). NHRA’s National Event Tour carries on to Worldwide Technology Raceway next weekend.
