Monday US Nationals Results and Winners
The NHRA US Nationals at Lucas Oil Indianapolis Raceway Park again showed why it is “The Big Go” with an incredible week of on-track action. The Labor Day Monday Final Rounds produced some great winners. Richie Crampton, piloting an A/Fuel entry for the Noonan Engineering Team, added a Top Alcohol Dragster US Nationals Wally to his Trophy Case joining his Top Fuel Wally from this event 10 years ago. Crampton defeated Randy Meyer Racing’s TJ Tindle in the Final Round for the Victory. A couple of west coast hitters faced off in the Top Alcohol Funny Car Final Round with Defending World Champ Sean Bellemeur earning the win over Shane Westerfield in a 5.48 to 5.51 Final Round. Division 4 Hitter Don Thomas scored an upset Competition Eliminator Final Round Win over Defending World Champ Jeff Taylor, who had trouble at the hit. Other Winners from the US Nationals include JR Gray (Pro Mod), Scott Taylor (Outlaw Street), Scott Libersher (Factory Stock Showdown), Zach Sackman (Top Dragster), Brandon Baxter (Top Sportsman), Pete D’Agnolo (Super Stock), Hunter Pierdolla (Stock), Brian Harris (Super Comp) and Rob Kropfeld (Super Gas). The NHRA National Event Tour heads to the Inaugural Great Lakes Nationals at US 131 Motorsports Park in Michigan later this month.
