Sunday Nightfire Nationals Final Eliminations Results

The Nightfire Nationals at Firebird Raceway in Boise, Idaho raced to an epic conclusion on Sunday. Shane Westerfield topped an incredibly tough Nostalgia Funny Car class defeating current Points Leader Nathan Sitko in the Final Round. The Nostalgia Top Fuel Final saw the two toughest competitors of 2026 Face Off with Tyler Hilton scoring the Wally over Pete Kaiser. Brandon Seraphine scored the AA/Fuel Altered victory continuing his incredible 2026 season where he has also scored wins at Bakersfield (March Meet) and Tucson (Fuel Altered Chaos). Bret Williamson had the car to beat in Pro Mod all weekend long, and showed it with another solid 3.90 at 187MPH in the Final Round. Texas Racer Peeps Pennington added to his extensive trophy case with the Sunday Bracketeer $10K Win defeating Ryan O’Connor with a 003 RT and Dead-On Lap on his 4.60 Dial. Another cool story was Rayce Kidd earning the Top Fire Open Wheel victory over his Dad (Mark), then going on to win the Top Fire Runoff over West Coast Hitter Henry Roberson who won the Full-Bodied side of the class. Other Bracket Winners include Davis Deming (Pro ET), Frank Veloz (Heavy), Roger Turley (Pro Comp) and Chad Hofert (Bike/Sled).

NHRA Nostalgia Funny Car Eliminations

Final Round: Shane Westerfield earns the Big Win in Boise for Bucky Austin Racing. Shane records a 5.778/252MPH lap to defeat Nathan Sitko’s 6.016. This closes up the Points Battle between these two as the NHRA Hot Rod Heritage Series heads to Woodburn, Oregon later this month.

Eliminations Round 3: Nathan Sitko earns Lane Choice in the Final Round with a 5.792/237MPH blast to defeat Tony Jurado. Westerfield again wins a Pedal Fest, this time on a Holeshot over Jon Capps 6.975/242 to 6.957/240 (058 to 113 RT’s). This sets up a Primetime Final Round between Points Leader Sitko & Perennial Championship contender Westerfield.

Eliminations Round 2: Jon Capps ran Low ET of the Round in a great Side-By-Side Race with Eily Stafford 5.660 to 5.690. #1 Qualifier Shane Westerfield won a wild pedal fest battle against Todd Plate with a 6.74/218MPH run.

NHRA Nostalgia Top Fuel Eliminations

Final Round: Tyler Hilton earns the Wally in Boise with a 5.782/256MPH run to defeat Pete Kaiser, who had troubles at the hit. This puts Hilton in the Driver’s Seat of the points battle as it heads down the stretch run.

Eliminations Round 2: Tyler Hilton put a stop to Hangey’s Cinderella Story in the Semis with a 5.740/257MPH Blast. Hilton’s run earns Lane Choice in the Final over Kaiser who lifted early on his Bye Run.

Eliminations Round 1: Gerald Hangey had the Best Run of E1 at 5.802/263MPH to defeat Bobby Cottrell. Pete Kaiser defeated Austin Arnerich in the closest race of the Round 5.884 to 6.009.

AA/Fuel Altered Eliminations

Final Round: The Final was decided on the Starting Line as Karstetter leaves 072 Red throwing away a 6.051 Lap, while Seraphine goes 6.165 to earn the Boise Victory. Brandon adds to his Dream Season trophy collection as the Boise win joins his earlier 2026 victories at the March Meet (Bakersfield) and Fuel Altered Chaos (Tucson).

Eliminations Round 2: Karstetter continues to impress with an incredible 6.006 on the 6.00 Class Index to defeat Mathew Leonard’s solid 6.116. Karsetter will face Brandon Seraphine in the Final, who recorded a 6.092 on his Semi-Final Round Bye Run.

Eliminations Round 1: #2 Qualifier Vince Karstetter threw down the Best Run of E1 at 6.115 to defeat James Day.

Saturday Nightfire Nationals Qualifying Results

Saturday was a Big Day at Firebird Raceway’s Nightfire Nationals in Boise, Idaho with Final Qualifying for the Pro categories. Shane Westerfield locked down the #1 Spot in Nostalgia Funny Car, then proceeded to run Low ET of the Weekend in Round 1 Eliminations at 5.591. Tyler Hilton lowered the Boom on the Nostalgia Top Fuel Field with a 5.687 ET to earn the #1 Qualifying position, and a First Round Bye. Brandon Seraphine earned the Top Spot in AA/Fuel Altered running .02 off the 6.00 Class Cap with a 5.98 ET at 232MPH. Pro Mod Eliminations kicked off with Bret Williamson continuing to dominate with Low ET of the weekend in E1 3.82/199MPH. The Saturday $10K Bracketeer saw Jacob Stolworthy let go 004 and run Dead-On his 4.49 Dial to earn the Big Money over Hannah Vandermeer in an all-Dragster Final Round. Other Sportmsan Winners on Saturday include Brandon Umberger (Pro ET), Frank Veloz (Heavy), Logan Ackly (Pro Comp) and Chad Hofert (Sled/Bike).

NHRA Nostalgia Funny Car E1 Results

Shane Westerfield continued to be the class of the NFC Field with a 5.591/260MPH Blast on his Round 1 Bye Run. The closest race of the round was the 6-11 Pair where Tony Jurado took the Win in a 5.703 to 5.713 decision over Spokane Winner Derrick Moreira. The Big Matchup of E2 will be Top Qualifier Westerfield versus the Winner from the May Boise race Todd Plate in Eddie Knox’s Problem Child. E2 Pairings are listed below:

Friday Nightfire Nationals Qualifying Results

Firebird Raceway’s Nightfire Nationals is in full swing in Boise, Idaho after a Full Day of Racing on Friday. The Nostalgia Nitro Funny Cars of the NHRA Hot Rod Heritage Series came out in Full Force with 13 Entries making the Q1 Call. Shane Westerfield leads the pack in the Bucky Austin entry with a 5.60 ET at 258MPH. Ohio’s Tyler Hilton edged out Pete Kaiser for the Top Spot in Nostalgia Top Fuel by 002 with a 5.770 ET at only 220MPH. Brandon Seraphine leads the Wild Fuel Altereds with a 6.19/224MPH blast. Bret Williamson threw down the Best Run of the Pro Mods with a 3.84/199MPH lap in the 1/8 Mile. The Top Fire Quick 16’s are currently led by Jenna Michaud (Open Wheel) and Mark Austin (Full-Bodied). You may remember Sean Shaffer from his Domination of the East-West Showdown during the Tucson Southwest Showdown earlier this Season. Shaffer is at it again, this time scoring the $10K Bracketeer win on Friday with a 004 RT and Dead-On Lap to defeat Trevor Harkema. Final Qualifying is on tap for Saturday in all Pro Classes, and another $10K on the line for the Bracketeer class.
