🏆NHRA Northwest Nationals Sunday Eliminations Winners and Final Results🏆
This year’s annual trip to Washington’s Pacific Raceways for the NHRA Northwest Nationals was a memorable one with incredible racing across all of the Lucas Oil Drag Racing Series categories. The most memorable moment went to Homestate racer Ty Gaynor, who scored a rare Double by winning two classes at a single National Event. Gaynor earned the Wally in both Top Dragster and Super Stock. Ty entered Sunday along with two other racers had a shot at a rare Double, Click to Read about their journey. Defending World Champ Shawn Cowie made a big step towards chasing down Points Leader Jamie Noonan with the Top Alcohol Dragster victory today over Joey Severance in an all-Supercharged Final Round. Doug Gordon backed up his Norwalk National Event win with another at Pacific Raceways recording a great 5.420 ET in the Final Round. Another big story was the Giant Killer Gary Gandee taking out all the Big Hitters en route to the Stock Eliminator victory in his U/SA 1979 Mustang. Gandee was the slowest Qualified car on ET; he Dialed 14.10 in the Final Round, and was 9 Total (001 RT + Dead-8) to defeat former World Champ Brad Burton. Other Winners on the Day include Bryan Warr (Top Sportsman), Ryan Warter (Competition Eliminator), Paul Nero (Super Comp), Cooper Chun (Super Gas) and Dana Glenn (Super Street). The NHRA National Event Tour heads to Brainerd, Minnesota for Brainerd Nationals next month.

- Ty Gaynor def. Brad Burton. Gaynor scores the rare Double Up at his Home Race during the Northwest Nationals. Ty had the better Bulb 035 to 060 and put it 1 Above (9.150 on 9.14 Dial) to lock out Burton and secure his Second Victory of the Day.

- Dana Glenn def. Dustin Ward. Dana watched his Brother Dallas come up short in the Pro Stock Semi-Final the pair prior, but he would not be denied in the Super Street Final with a 007 RT and 10.938 on the 10.90 Index to earn the Wally.

NHRA Northwest Nationals Saturday Eliminations Results
The NHRA Northwest Nationals continued on Saturday at Washington’s Pacific Raceways. Top Alcohol categories finalized their Qualifying with Shawn Cowie (Top Alcohol Dragster) and Doug Gordon (Top Alcohol Funny Car) earning #1 Positions on the Ladder. Early Round Elimination action took in all Lucas Oil Drag Racing Series classes, racing down to the Semi-Final Round for all. Heading into Sunday, 3 Racers have a shot at the Double Up – Click for Full Rundown. Another big story is whether David Cook can earn Northwest Nationals Top Sportsman Wally’s in back-to-back seasons. Final Eliminations for all classes are slated for Sunday afternoon. ** Sunday Final Round Update: Ty Gaynor scores the Rare Double winning both Top Dragster and Super Stock at the Northwest Nationals. At his home race, Ty was able to win in two vastly different categories, leaving off the Top Bulb in Top Dragster and off the Bottom Bulb in Super Stock. Burton’s double effort fell short in the Super Stock Final to Gary Gandee, then he came out on the wrong end of Super Stock Final Round with Gaynor.
** Sunday Semi-Final Update: Both Ty Gaynor and Brad Burton have advanced to Both Final Rounds giving them a shot at the elusive Double Up. Unfortunately, Cody Lane’s Double shot went out in the Semis of both classes.
** Saturday Update: Three racers head into Sunday’s Eliminations with a shot at the LODRS Double Up, winning two classes at an Event. These racers are Ty Gaynor (Top Dragster & Super Stock), Brad Burton (Super Stock & Stock) and Cody Lane (Competition Eliminator & Stock). Ironically, Burton and Lane are slated to face each other in the Next Round of Stock Eliminator. Stay tuned to DRN for updates as this proceeds on Sunday.

- Josh Dalrymple def. Dustin Culp. The Super Street action continues to get nastier as we progress through Eliminations. Dalrymple is 006, take 008 to be 1 Above (10.914) for the Victory over Culp’s 012 Green + 1 Above (10.916) run. Great laps on both sides of the track, but there can only be one winner. An added bonus, Dalrymple will be on the E4 Bye Run with 5 Cars Left.

- Troy Olsonawski def. Justin Lamb. Troy pulls off the Magic Trick here in Round 2 taking out the hottest man in Lucas Oil Series action currently. Lamb had a much better 026 to 054 RT, but the 63MPH difference at the Finish Line presented a challenge to Justin and he made a rare mistake taking 008 too much at the stripe for a Breakout (8.622 on 8.63 Dial) handing the win over to Olsonawaski, who was 2 Above (11.745 on 11.72 Dial).

- Kevin Shearer def. Shawn Herbst. Shearer with a Nasty 10 Total Run (009 + Dead 1) to defeat D6 Heavy Hitter Herbst.
- Bryan Warr def. Robert Strohm. This pair between two of the west coast’s best was a bit of a let down at Strohm had troubles again slowing to a half-second over the dial. Warr was 021 Green and shut off early for a Safe victory.
- David Cook def. Jeremy Soares. Last Year’s Event Winner Cook came out on the positive side of a tough matchup here. Soares had the better RT 001 to 011, but Cook was dialed better with a 1 Above Lap (6.711 on 6.70 Dial) to advance to Round 3.

- Cooper Chun def. Dylan Hough. A big matchup between two of the Northwest’s Best in Round 2. Chun has the RT advantage 014 to 030, and takes 011 Stripe for the Victory with a 2 Above (6.990 on 6.97 Dial) Run.

- Jennifer Wiens def. Robert Naber. Naber lets go 002 Red First, and nearly still wins the Round. Wiens runs it out to a 6.026 on the 6.10 Dial for the W; a 5.99 Breakout would have sent the victory back over to Naber.

NHRA Northwest Nationals Friday Qualifying Results
Pacific Raceways roared to life on Friday for Day 1 of the 2026 NHRA Northwest Nationals in Kent, Washington. Qualifying was the name of the game in all Lucas Oil Drag Racing Series classes. Jon Bradford (Top Alcohol Dragster) and Shane Westerfield (Top Alcohol Funny Car) are Provisional Polesitters in the Top Alcohol categories that have one Final Q session on Saturday morning. Top Qualifiers in all other classes were set on Friday with Top Honors going to Jordan Dooley (Top Dragster), Kirk Lanz (Top Sportsman), Cody Lane (Comp), Christopher Cour (Super Stock) and Hal Sorensen (Stock). Early Round Eliminations are on the schedule for LODRS on Saturday. The Livestream for this event is available on NHRA.tv at https://www.nhra.tv/ for the entire weekend.
