Saturday Recap
The Norwalk NHRA Division 3 Double Header continued on Saturday at Summit Motorsports Park in Norwalk, Ohio with a full day of Qualifying for Race 2 as well as early round Eliminations action. Top Alcohol categories hit the track for the first time this week to Qualifying for their Regional event. The incoming National Points leaders flexed their muscles in Qualifying as Jamie Noonan threw down a 5.240 in Top Alcohol Dragster, and Sean Bellemeur put up a 5.435 in Top Alcohol Funny Car. These two are not only Favorites to win on Sunday, but also looking to be the ones to beat for this year’s National Championship. Over in Top Dragster, Darian Boesch recorded a Perfect 6.100 on the Top Dragster 6.10 ET cap to earn the #1 Qualifying position. Jeff Connelly went from DNQ in Race 1 to the Top Spot in Top Sportsman for Race 2 with a 6.155. Other Top Qualifiers include Todd Datweiler (Competition Eliminator), Earl Roe (Super Stock) and Casey Fauss-Johnson (Stock). Friday Recap
A full day of Racing on Friday saw Eliminations for Race 1 of the NHRA Division 3 Double Header run to completion at Summit Motorsports Park in Norwalk, Ohio. Defending Super Gas World Champion JJ Brock scored his first win of 2026 in a great final round with Nathan Vrooman, both 016 RT’s and 9.926 to 9.929 for a .003 Margin of Victory. Another big story was Pete D’Agnolo taking the Super Stock Win over Michael Brand, who turned it 003 Red. Pete also scored a Semi-Final finish in Competition Eliminator. Other winners on the day included Al Kenny (Top Dragster), Rick Sojka (Top Sportsman), Christopher Dodd (Competition Eliminator), Tim Fletcher (Stock), Kyle Anderson (Super Comp) and Mark Smith (Super Street). Action continues on Saturday in Norwalk with Qualifying for Race 2 of the Double Header. Thursday Recap
The weekend is underway for the Norwalk NHRA Division 3 Double Header at Summit Motorsports Park in Norwalk, Ohio. Todd Datweiler threw down the run of the day in our eyes with a strong 6.196 ET to lead Competition Eliminator Qualifying in his Supercharged Altered (AA/AM). Another great lap was thrown down by Dane Ward with a 6.100 ET, dead-on the Top Dragster class cap. Ward leads a tough 32-car field into Eliminations. Other Top Qualifiers for Race 1 of the Double Header include Darian Boesch (Top Sportsman), Ernie Neal (Super Stock) and Victor Cagnazzi (Stock). The Thursday Night Shootout winners were Rock Haas (Super Comp), Nathan Prose (Super Gas), Andrew Johnson (Super Street) and James Gibson (Stock/Super Stock Combo).
