Sunday Recap
The NHRA D7 Points Double Header at The Strip at Las Vegas Motor Speedway in Las Vegas, NV contested Eliminations for Race 2 in all classes on Sunday and handed out 75th Anniversary Wally’s at the end of the day. Cali Neff scored her first victory of the 2026 Season defeating Taylor Chomiski in the Comp Eliminator Final Round by just .005 at the finish line. Vegas racers stole the limelight in the Super categories as Trey Vetter (Super Comp) and Chris Naffziger (Super Gas) took home Wally’s. Naffziger had a Perfect RT in the final, coupled with a Dead-On 9 for a 9 Package to defeat the always tough Rodger Sauder. The Sportsman Motorcycle Final round was the closest of all with Mike Pinkston turning on the W light by just .001 to defeat Tom Medlin. Other winners on the day include Rick Milinazzo (Top Dragster), Jeremy Waterman (Top Sportsman), Rick McKinney (Super Stock), CW Hoefer (Stock) and Andrew Olson (Super Street).

Saturday Recap
Race 2 of the NHRA D7 Doubleheader at The Strip at Las Vegas Motor Speedway in Las Vegas, NV fired off on Saturday with Qualifying and Eliminations Round 1 in most categories. Don London landed his Turbocharged Dragster atop the Top Dragster Qualifying Sheet with a 6.110 ET. Justin Linares leads the pack in Top Sportsman with a 6.112 ET in his ’69 Camaro. Ryan Priddy swept the top spot in Competition Eliminator for both races with his A/A Camaro. Jim Grossi also swept qualifying as he took the Super Stock #1 spot with a -1.153 shot in his FGT/C ’69 Corvette. Mark Madison put his AA/SA Belvedere atop the Stock Eliminator sheet. Clayton Howey ripped it .002 to earn the top position in Sportsman Motorcycle heading into Eliminations. Sunday Race Day starts off with Round 2 Eliminations in most categories. Friday Recap
Eliminations are complete for Race 1 of the NHRA D7 Doubleheader at The Strip at Las Vegas Motor Speedway in Las Vegas, NV, and the racing was solid from start to finish. The big story of the day was Mike Wiblishouser backing up his Pomona Winternationals win just 6 days ago with another Wally on Friday taking the Super Gas win over Greg Ventura. Mike wasn’t perfect in this final round, but used a strong .010 RT and .029 above (10.079 on 10.05 Index) lap to earn the win. Another huge story was Macie Gordon scoring her first “Big Car” Wally as she won the Top Dragster final round over Phillip Duerr. Macie earned the Gordon Family’s second win in 5 Days as her dad Doug won Top Alcohol Funny Car on Sunday night in Pomona. Other winners on the day include Shawn Herbst (Top Sportsman), Don Bevers (Comp), David Kelly (Super Stock), Ray Vickers (Stock), Michael Miller (Super Comp), Michael Boner (Super Street) and Tom Medlin (Sportsman Motorcycle). The schedule has changed for Saturday as all racers will get just One Time Run (2 in TD/Comp/TS) before running E1 in the afternoon. Sunday will start with E2 in all categories. Qualifying Day is complete for Race 1 of the NHRA D7 Doubleheader at The Strip at Las Vegas Motor Speedway in Las Vegas, NV. Steve Will lead an incredibly tough Top Dragster field with a 6.106 ET on the 6.10 class cap. The Top 13 Qualifiers were 6.199 or Quicker. This event features a 48-car field for Eliminations, and with 63 cars making an attempt the bump spot ended up at 6.691. Another big run was in Competition Eliminator as Ryan Priddy earned the top spot with a 6.512 ET, which put him .638 Under the A/A Class Index.
