The Funny Car Chaos Classic wrapped up on Saturday with a full day of Eliminations for both the FC Chaos & Nitro Chaos Championship Tours. Keith Zimmerer backed up his win in Tulsa by again stealing the show in FCC’s ‘A Field’. Zimmerer qualified #1 with a 3.590 and cruised thru the competition to the Final Round victory defeating Mike Newkirk. Another big winner was Joe Pirrone making the haul from the East Coast pay off with the ‘B Field’ victory defeating fellow East Coaster Wayne Hofmann in the final. Jordan Ballew put “Baleew Thunder” back in the Winners Circle as he won the ‘C Field’ title. In Nitro Chaos, Jake Sanders piloted “The Menace” Front Engine Dragster to the Texas Motorplex victory for the second season in a row. Brian Kohlmann gave us all a scare as he lost control just after turning on the Nitro Chaos ‘B Field’ Final Round Win Light in his Nitro Coupe. Thankfully, Brian is reportedly okay after the wild ride.
