A long weekend of racing at In-N-Out Burger Pomona Dragstrip in Pomona, CA for the NHRA Lucas Oil Winternationals came to a close Sunday night with some incredible final round action. Geoff Monise scored the Legacy Nitro Funny Cars victory in the Quarter Pounder with Low ET of the Event 4.644 to defeat Nathan Sitko’s 4.698. Garrett Bateman earned the Top Alcohol Dragster Wally defeating Jon Bradford in the Final Round with a 5.285 run. The closest Final Round of all was in Top Alcohol Funny Car where Doug Gordon put the MB Cabinets entry in the Winners Circle on a holeshot 5.460 to 5.458 (010 to 027 RT’s) with a Margin of Victory Totaling .015. This was a great way to wrap up an eventful and trying NHRA Winternationals in Pomona. The NHRA National Event tour heads to Charlotte for the 4-Wide Nationals in a couple weeks.

Saturday Recap
Saturday was a full day of action at In-N-Out Burger Pomona Dragstrip in Pomona, CA for the NHRA Lucas Oil Winternationals. Shawn Cowie (Top Alcohol Dragster), Shane Westerfield (Top Alcohol Funny Car) and Nathan Sitko (Legends Nitro Funny Car) all held on to their #1 spots as the final Qualifying sessions were completed . The Lucas Oil Series categories ran their eliminations out to completion on Saturday. The big story was Mike Wiblishouser completing a rare feat as he threw down a Perfect Run (.000 RT & Dead-On Dial with a 0) in the Super Gas Final to defeat Val Torres. Justin Lamb backed up his #ArizonaNats Win with another in Stock Eliminator as he was .014 Total (.013 RT, Dead-on 1) to defeat Jared Jordan. Other winners include Grant Durie (Top Dragster), Jeff Gillette (Top Sportsman), Ryan Warter (Comp), Kyle Rizzoli (Super Stock), Justin Morris (Super Comp) and Kenny Snow (Super Street). Please keep Top Alcohol Dragster racer James Stevens in your prayers as he was involved in an on-track incident in E1 tonight.
