The Baby Gators NHRA Division 2 LODRS race at Gainesville Raceway in Gainesville, FL is in the books after an excellent day of racing action. McKenna Bold earned the Top Alcohol Dragster Wally for Randy Meyer Racing over James Stevens. The Top Alcohol Funny Car class featured an incredible final round where Sean Bellemeur turned on the win light 5.401 to 5.433 over Phil Esz. In the closest final of the day, Vance Houston was .013 on the tree and Dead-On 2 (8.902) in the Super Comp Final to defeat John Labbous by just .007 at the stripe. Other winners on the day included James Brown (Top Dragster), Carl Freeman (Top Sportsman), Rodger Brogdon (Comp), Don Shuford (Super Stock), Doug Lambeck (Stock), Vance Houston (Super Comp), Jim Perry (Super Gas), Keith Mayers (Super Street), Avery Bolding (Juniors 13-17), Bo Smith (Juniors 10-12) and Rhett Smith (Juniors 6-9). NHRA Division 2 #LODRS series will be back in action next month at South Georgia Motorsports Park.

Friday Recap
Friday featured a full day of Qualifying and Class Eliminations (Super Stock/Stock) for the Baby Gators NHRA Division 2 LODRS race at Gainesville Raceway in Gainesville, FL. The Top Alcohol categories put on a great show with Sarah Allen (Top Alcohol Dragster) and Sean Bellemeur (Top Alcohol Funny Car) leading their respective fields into Race Day. Robert May came up .001 short of perfect to earn the Top Spot in Top Dragster with a 6.101 ET. Glenn Butcher’s Nitrous-assisted Camaro lead Top Sportsman with a 6.163. In perhaps the most closely contested Qualifying battle, Scott Libersher laid down .703 Under his Class Index first to earn the tiebreaker over Rodger Brogdon in Competition Eliminator. Other Top Qualifiers included Don Barber (Super Stock) and Kevin Helms (Super Stock). A full day of Eliminations to completion are ahead on Saturday for all classes.
