Duck X Productions’ Lights Out 17 at South Georgia Motorsports Park in Valdosta, GA is in the Books after an incredible week of racing action. Ken Quartuccio stole all the headlines on Sunday as he set the RVW World Record with a 3.436 ET on his way to the eventual final round win. Just as impressive was Lyle Barnett wheeling the “Salvage Title” Mustang to the Pro 275 winners circle with a new class record 3.600 ET. Other Radial Outlaw Racing Series winners on the day include Brett LaSala (LDR), Eric LaFerriere (X275) and Jessie Coulter (Ultra Street). Saturday Update
Once again, Mother Nature ruled the day on Saturday at Lights Out 17 in Valdosta, GA. Eliminations Round 1 was completed in most Radial Outlaw Series categories with RVW and Pro 275 up next for E1 before the Rains cut action short early for the evening. Ken Quartuccio (RVW) and Grantley Schloss (Pro 275) both locked down #1 Qualifying positions in an uneventful Q3 mid-afternoon as many racers struggled with traction. Friday Qualifying Update
Mother Nature ruled the day at Lights Out 17 at South Georgia Motorsports Park in Valdosta, GA. Wet conditions delayed start time, and racing was only able to commence for an hour or two before Rain rolled back in canceling the rest of the day’s action. RVW and Pro 275 will still have 1 more Qualifying session on Saturday, while most other classes are considered set & will go straight into E1. Thursday Qualifying Update
Qualifying action continued on at Lights Out 17 with the Q2 evening session. Defending RVW Champion Ken Quartuccio missed Q1, but made a statement with a 3.490 ET to land in the #1 spot on his first attempt of the week. Pro 275 also saw a new name jump to the top of the sheet with Defending Radial Outlaw Series Champ Grantley Schloss recording a 3.687 ET at 208MPH. Grantley edged Eddie Harrison by .001 for the top spot with Q1 leader Brad Edwards, Lyle Barnett and Mo Hall rounding out the Top 5. Tommy Youmans sits atop the LDR Qualifying Sheet with a new class record 3.793 ET. Other top qualifiers include Ian Hill (X275), Ronny Rhodes (Ultra Street) and Jonathan Insley (X255). Wednesday Qualifying Update
Lights Out 17 is underway at South Georgia Motorsports Park in Valdosta, GA with Q1 for Heads-Up classes taking place Wednesday night. Chris Daniel ran the Quickest ET in RVW with a booming 3.505 ET, however he lost control in the shutdown area and hit both walls. Thankfully, reports are that Chris is okay despite the wild ride. His run was disallowed, and Manny Buginga is now the Top Qualifier in RVW with a 3.573 ET. Other Top Qualifiers on the day include Brad Edwards (Pro 275), Tommy Youmans (LDR), Eric LaFerriere (X275), Josh McCoy (Ultra Street) and Jonathan Insley (X255).
