Sunday Update
The US Street Nationals in Bradenton, FL wrapped up on Sunday with incredible Elimination action across all categories. In the headline Pro Mod class, “Stevie Fast” Jackson emerged victorious with a 3.566 ET in the Final Round to defeat Derek Menholt, who went Red by .006. Jerry Morgano (Pro 10.5), Cole Pesz (True 10.5) and Steph Mallais (Lil Gangstas) were among the feature class winners on the day. Radial Outlaws Series winners were Grantley Schloss (Pro 275), Tommy Youmans (LDR), Billy Lackey (X275) and Joel Greathouse (Ultra Street). Other class winners on the day included Brian Shook (6.50 Index), Jason Renninger (7.50 Index), Ron Procopio (4.6 Index Bikes) and Cailyn Fargo (Junior Dragster). Saturday Update
Another incredible day of racing action was seen on Saturday at the US Street Nationals in Bradenton, FL. The incredible Pro Mod field was finalized early in the day with the Final Qualifying session, where Jimmy Taylor held on to the #1 spot and Mike Bowman rounded out the field with a 3.596 for the #32 position. Round 1 Eliminations in Pro Mod featured some incredible racing with the big story being #4 Qualifier Eric Gustafson recording Low ET of the round with a 3.543 en route to defeating #1 Qualifier Jimmy Taylor. Jason Harris kept his Elite Million Dollar Bonus hopes alive with a strong E1 victory over Jim Halsey with a 3.547 ET. Also notable on the day, in the first ever True 10.5 class round with “Clocks On” Bill Lutz set Low ET with a 3.934. Friday Qualifying Update
Qualifying action continued on Friday at the US Street Nationals in Bradenton, FL. The headliner Pro Mod class continued to steal the show with 70 cars giving it a shot at making the 32-car qualified field. Jimmy Taylor holds strong in the #1 position with his 3.555 ET from Thursday qualifying. Taylor is followed closely by Jason Harris’ 3.556, but changes in the qualifying order were aplenty behind the Top 2. Randy Weatherford slid into the #3 position on the strength of his 3.558 pass, which was Low ET of Q2. Meanwhile, Eric Gustafson moved up to #4 in the order, also with a 3.558 ET carding Low ET of Q4. Weatherford’s higher speed gave him the advantage in the order by just .1 MPH. Justin Bond rounds out the Top 5 with his 3.563 ET from Thursday’s Q1. The field is ultra competitive with the Bump Spot breaking into the 3.5-second zone with Robin Roberts currently sitting in the #32 spot with a 3.597 heading into Q4. All other heads-up categories wrapped up Qualifying on Friday with Eliminations starting on Saturday. Carson Baker pushed Fletcher Cox out of the #1 spot in Pro 10.5 during Q4 with a great 3.884 ET. Lyle Barnett stayed atop the Pro 275 with a strong 3.678, and followed that up with an incredible 3.691 in the heat of the Day during Q4. Thursday Qualifying Update
The Winter Series continues on with Race 2 as the US Street Nationals at Bradenton Motorsports Park in Bradenton, Florida kicked off on Thursday. Pro Mod saw 69 cars make an attempt in Q1, the day’s only Qualifying session with Jimmy Taylor putting the XRE Turbocharged Camaro atop the sheet with a 3.555 ET. After sweeping Snowbird Nats, Jason Harris came up just .001 short of the top spot on Day 1 with a 3.556 ET. Justin Bond, Billy Banaka and Steve Jackson rounded out the early Top 5 in the Qualifying order. The 32 Car Bump Spot currently sits with Frank Falter’s 3.632 ET.
