Fuel Altered Chaos lived up to its name with a Chaotic day of Eliminations capped off with Lyle Greenburg and his “Cone Hunter” Altered in the Winners Circle. Greenberg, who had earlier set Low ET of the weekend in E1 with a 3.798 ET, drove to the ‘A Field’ victory with a 3.964 ET to defeat local racer Jimmy Kelso in the Speed Sport ride. Other winners include Mitch Bowen (‘B’ Field), Reed Taylor (‘C’ Field) and Smokey Blanton (‘D’ Field).

Friday Recap
The Inaugural Fuel Altered Chaos kicked off on Friday with 3 Qualifying sessions to set the A, B, C & D Fields for Eliminations on Saturday. Kyle Hough in the Arizona-based Sheepherder Fuel Altered landed in the Top Qualifying position with a 3.810 ET at the 1/8 mile distance on the Tucson Dragway surface. The 8-car bump for the ‘A’ Field ended up with a solid ET of 3.995 from the Jim Maroney-driven machine.
